Short trip to Macau 20191130~1202

So its been awhile since my last post.. its been 2 years now.. You might wonder what have I been doing since the last post about my late father. Well, first of all, I have been trying to pull myself up and get back to myself. As I have not been really looked into Taiwan or any other Asian countries since moving back 7 years ago, so I have decided to slow down my life and explore more about these beautiful asian countries. Let's start from the latest trip that we have been- Macau, China. I have always curious about what to see in this little city. Since it was formerly a colony of Portuguese  Empire, I was looking forward to see some of the Portuguese heritage and some authentic Portuguese gourmets.
Beautiful dawn at Taoyuan International Airport before departure.

Love this alley

The steps tells the history of this Chinese building

It used to be a bank

The oldest Chinese temple in Macau

Natural Chinese painting

I love this toast with syrup and butter..

There is a little  Venice in this hotel
It actually reminded our trip back in the real Venice.
Mini version of Eiffel Tower

A British pub in the Hotel.
I feel home now~
Our flight touched down around 8:30 a.m. I could see the hotel that we were staying from the airplane window. I wasn't aware that the airport is located so close to all the luxury hotels in the new town of Macau. We could literally walk to the hotel but we chose to wait for the free hotel shuttle bus at 10a.m. So we hung around at the airport and had a cup of hot coffee from 7-11. It only took 5 mins from airport to the hotel we stayed by bus. It's a free and convenient too!
Can you see the hotels by hotel

The stone pavement reminds me of Porto

I can't imagine myself living in one of this high-rises flats..

We walked from the new town to the old town and it took us an hour and a half. We did't see any tourist on the way to the old town. I guess no one wants to walk that much on their holiday. But it is a nice way to look into the local areas.
After a long walk, we finally see the old town from the new town.

Macau tower
The remain of St. Paulo Church from the Portuguese Empire

Yummy egg tarts. I had 3 of them during this short trip.

Even David likes the egg tarts.
Portuguese duck rice

lovely creamy seafood soup
heaven~

I like this service on the local buses.. its so useful!

The night of Macau in the new town

Good Bye Macau . Thank you for having us~

It was a short and sweet trip for us. If you ever want to visit Macau, you might want to consider to visit HongKong by ferry from Macau. It's a nice option to do it. I might want to try it the next time I visit H.K.
