It's been a long time since my last post, summer in Taiwan is way to hot for me to sit still in front of my lap top, I sweat like it was raining every time I started writing a new post, so I gave up. It's toward the end of Sept now and I can finally smell the sense of Autumn season in the air. I am still wearing short sleeves but no need for the fan or air-conditional anymore. Hurrey!!!! I love coolness of Autumn and the coldness of winter!
Mr M & I went to the south part of Taiwan last week and it's called Tainan. I had been there before when I was at my teens, but can't remember much about Tainan. Many of my Taiwanese friends mention that Tainan is a beautiful old town with lots of historical places, very old ruins and delicious local gourmets!!! We took the HSR (high speed railway), which is also called the -bullet train, because it travels really super fast. If we were to drive a car from Taipei to Tainan, it might take us a good 3-4 hours of driving journey, but with the bullet train, it only takes 1hr and 45 mins!

I was quite excited about this trip as I had been looking forward to a nice trip in Taiwan since I came back a year ago, but my job had occupied most of my life, so never got the chance to travel in Taiwan. We arrived around noon time at Tainan train station and decided to rent a scooter from the train station which cost us NT $900 for 2 days. Mr M is my scooter driver and I am the map reader! Trust me, it is not easy to read a map while you are on the back of the scooter, it can be dangerouse!

| Very pleased with what we had. Braised pork rice, prawn roll and soup noodle. yummy! |
We were pretty hungry by the time we checked in and decided to hunt for some local food. After studying the map and we decided to visit one of the old street in the city. There are quite a few old housed and ruins remaining in this city. I love them!
